“Grand Rapids is a city that will constantly surprise and delight you with authentic and unforgettable world-class experiences made easy, affordable, and friendly.” – Experience GR
The Downtown Area of Grand Rapids is ever-growing and developing, and will continue to do so with the Studio C! Project proposed to begin in early 2017. The project will include parking, housing, retail, and more. Another project that guarantees growth in the downtown area is GR Forward. “GR Forward…is a community plan and investment strategy to transform the Grand River into a distinct asset and support the next generation of growth in Downtown Grand Rapids.” (via Downtown Grand Rapids, Inc.)

Parks & Recreation
Grand Rapids had many outdoor activities no matter the season, from golfing to canoeing. The city has 86 parks and is only miles away from dozens more. Grand Rapids is considered one the “best” walking cities and is also great for biking, hiking, and was rated the sixth most popular fishing city in the U.S. by Field and Stream magazine (2006).
